Bakhour Blends

Our Bakhour blends are finally here! We have tested and selected 6 offerings to introduce you to the incredible world of Arabic incense (Bakhour).

These 6 blends are handmade in Salalah , Oman. This area is very well known in the region as the premier and ultimate location for incense and scents. Although each country has its own variation, it is well known that blends from Salalah are in a league of their own. They are complex, aromatic and quite concentrated. A small pinch on a puck of charcoal will blast your home with incredible aromas that will linger for hours to come. As such, each of these 1oz tins will last quite a while, even with daily use!

Below are descriptions of the scents on offer:

1.   I –  An interesting & cooling rich, scent with sweet notes and enriched with Ambergris oil. A great daytime scent. Mild to Medium potency
2.  II – Strong , warm, very complex scent with sandalwood, oud and other florals. One of the stronger scents on offer, excellent post cooking. Strong potency.
3. III – Another cool scent, but sweeter , and more florally. A great daytime scent. Mild to Medium potency
4. IV – Floral , earthy , and uplifting. Likely Operculum and jasmine was used in this one. A great medium potency scent.
5.  V –  Sweet, floral, very aromatic. Cardamom and saffron notes can be picked up. a great medium to strong potency scent,
6.  VI – One of the most unique scents, and very hard to describe. Earthy, with flowers a hint of citrus and flower oils. Medium to strong potency.
