Maitake, just like its other fungal cousins is an immunomodulator and as such may provide support to the immune system in addition to a host of other health benefits. Our Maitake is hot water extracted and focuses on extracting the prized polysaccharides. These biological classes of biomolecules are very potent, and much research has been done their effects on the immune and digestive systems. As such they are often seen in various forms of therapies and protocols.
These polysaccharide powders are an easy and convenient way to help support your immune and digestive systems. Due to their concentration, you only need 1/2-1 teaspoon 1x a day for most maintenance cases.
The β-Glucan content is a minimum of 30% with some batches well into the 40%+ and in some cases 50%+ range. Testing for β-Glucan content is a much more effective way to ensure a standardized quality product, as opposed to touting “ratios” used.

The water loving polysaccharides, that don’t like high ethanol solutions, and the triterpenes that tend to dissolve well in alcohol. While it certainly is feasible to create a stable liquid extract, the issue is clinical dose viability is quite low. To achieve an effective dosage very large amounts must be taken.
