This is a beautiful semi-fossilized Copal that has been ethically harvested. It’s well known for its use in incense and arts and crafts due to the large visually appealing tears.
This is a very hard resin and has a sweet, citrusy, woodsy scent that makes it a wonderful day time incense. It has no charring (earthy) notes when burning.
Similar to the Madagascar copal this also makes an excellent starting material for making varnishes.
