Madagascar Copal -Hymenaea verrucosa

Hailing from the island of Madagascar, this resin is an excellent incense. The odour is sweet, penetrating and uniquely floral.

The pieces are absolutely gorgeous , with some showing a glass like appearance! Many incorrectly see it as a fossilized resin but this particular variety is not due to differences in soil composition.

This resin is an excellent choice to make varnishes with but requires a special heating processes before doing so.

An excellent choice when burnt alone or when combined into incense blends.
